SUZUKI MOTORCYCLES INDIA TO STOP SELLING IT'S INAZUMA

SUZUKI MOTORCYCLES INDIA launched it's 250cc parallel twin INAZUMA in the early 2014 . SUZUKI was betting high on it's 250cc motorcycle, but it was not appreciated by the indian motorcycling enthusiasts. The INAZUMA was positioned as a power commuter rather than the sporty and bonkers DUKE siblings, infact it was much more comfortable to ride than the DUKE'S. It was aimed at the mature riders who wants comfrort and refinement over power  and acceleration. One big USP of this quarter litre motorcycle was it's 250cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine which had supreme refinement and had one of the most sweet sonding exhaust note among 250cc's in India. It was stratospherically priced at it's launch which was 3 lacs + rupees(ex showroom) which resulted in next to no sales, the price of this motorcycle was bought down by a lac later on. The INAZUMA will be totally discontinued in march 2015.

There are reasons for the downfall of an otherwise capable motorcycle-

              1. The styling was inspired from the now defunct SUZUKI B-KING which made it look weird.
              2. The pricing of the bike even though was slashed by a lakh rupees still it was higher that of the bonkers KTM's DUKE 390.
              3. The engine although was supremely refined and sounded sweet, it was underpowered.
