The Renault's Duster has been hugely instrumental in bringing unprecedented success for the company. Since, it's launch two years back some 1lakh units has been sold. The Renault Duster has all the attributes of becoming a stupendous hit among the general car buying public. Some of the attributes of the Duster are it's frugal and responsive diesel engines, reasonably priced, splendid balance of ride and handling, comfortable interiors andlow cost of ownership. Renault has been previously selling its AWD variants abroad and have decided to bring it our Indian shores. Duster in AWD guise will be made available only in RxL and RxZ 110ps variants. It will be priced at 60-80,000 premium over 110ps 2WD RxL and RxZ variants.
Some of the technical and cosmetic changes made to the AWD Duster are as follows-
1. The vehicle gets three modes – 2WD low, Auto and Lock.
2. The gear ratios has been shortened inorder to make the engine even more responsive in the tricky offroad conditions.
3. The vehicle gets an Eco mode for the quest of bettering fuel economy.
4. There has been a rise in the ARAI Fuel efficiency figures for the AWD variant.
5. The AWD variant will feature a different suspension set-up for the sake of better offroadability.
6. The interiors has been spruced up feturing new infotainment system and new upholstery.
7. The headlamps are smoked out like in the Adventure editions, Renault tells that it will remain exclusive only to the AWD variants.
8. Smoked alloy wheels on the top-end RxZ variant.
