The new Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster

The X132 Hellcat Speedster has been unveiled. After numerous rumours over the World Wide Web, it is finally here. and like the other offerings from Confederate Motorcycles, this is no doubt a piece of art. But performance has also been the focus points of Confederate Motorcycles and this new bike is no exception

The Engine is a home developed 132 cubic inches (2163cc) 56 degree v-twin with 121 horsepower and 140 pound feet of torque. The ECU here is tuned for performance more than cruising. The power is delivered through a 5 speed drag racing transmission. The suspension is upgraded to a fully adjustable 48 mm front forks in the front and a custom Race Tech centre mounted shock at the rear. The brakes up front are dual iron rotor Beringer units with dual mono block 4 piston callipers, and at the rear its a single mono block 4 piston calliper with a  cross drilled  Brembo rotor. The bike rolls on two 18 inch carbon fibre wheels from Blackstone Tek Carbon Fibre with Metzeler Me800 tyres.

Designed by ex- ducati designer , Pierre Terblanche the bike is a perfect mix of American hot rod culture with a unique, yet fresh piece of styling. From the single piece carbon fibre tank to that tractor style seat the bike looks astounding. the seat is wrapped in leather and houses a slim LED tail lamp beneath it. But takes all the attention, it is the the large crank case of the engine which is machined out from two billets of 6061 aircraft grade aluminium.

The the Hellcat Speedster will be available worldwide for a hefty $65,000, to book the bike one will have to shed a sum of $10,000. To retain the exclusivity of the brand only 65 of these bikes will be built
